There are some good journalists, although I struggle to cite any just at this minute. Used to be one myself, but I never pontificated about any of the subjects you listed. I never pontificate about anything, although I have had attributed to me the odd feeble rant about the misuse of words and shoddy grammar.

By the way, I like the wry style of the text in the sidebar. My writing style is dull and flat mostly, but it did occur to me that you might enjoy the one, single, solitary piece of 'humour' [cough!] on my blog. Not many people do:

Journalists are the same everywhere, I reckon. A nice post dwelling on the present day scenario. To know everything seems the most fashionable thing to do. Its like the lines from T. S. Eliot's "Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock":
